My wildlife journey started here in the UK, photographing our native species. Foxes, Badgers, Deer and Owls were some of the first animals that really pulled me into wildlife photography.

Mammals taught me an immense amount about fieldcraft, and I've come to believe it's far more important than any camera skill. You can have all the latest gear, but if you can't get close enough to use it, the images will always be mediocre.

I also love working on long-term projects. I've spent nine months obsessing over local Badgers, twelve months with urban Foxes and six months with Great Crested Grebes. Projects push you to improve every time you go out, always looking for a different behaviour, a better moment or a new way of seeing something you've photographed before.
