When I was a boy, there was a tiny pond in the woods that would fill with frogspawn each spring. I'd watch as the tadpoles appeared, grew legs and eventually became froglets. I was fascinated by how what looked like little blobs of slime could transform into something completely different in just a few months.

Then I discovered Newts. To my young mind they were essentially water lizards, and I still get excited whenever I find one in the garden or out exploring.

My love of frogs came naturally from my fascination with reptiles. They're now firm favourites in my collection, and I love photographing them in the studio, exploring their shapes, textures, colours and character.
